Spanish Language Course Málaga
learn Spanish in Málaga - Introduction
The
picturesque city Málaga is situated in Spain’s south coast. Antonio
Banderas and Pablo Picasso were born here; also Salvador Dali lived in
this city for many years. Due to its subtropical climate, Málaga is the
ideal destination for combining a Spanish language course with a holiday
at the seaside. The city owes its individuality and unique flair to the
cultural "finger-prints" left behind. Founded by Phoenicians, under the
reign of the Roman Empire, as well as becoming an important city of
trade under the reign of the Moors, are just a few examples of the
amazing history of Málaga.
The
people in the area, Pedregalejo, are always ready to involve strangers and
make them feel welcome in their society. The city lifestyle is very
colourful, which one can see in the cafes, shopping arcades and discos.
Here, the young Andalucians dance the night away and drink in harmony with
guests from all around the world. Málaga is an extremely lively place to be.
We could be tempted to think that the Málagueños sleep the whole day in
order to be "fit for the bar" the next night! However, there is no sign of
people sleeping when you see Málaga by day - a lively city indeed. Unspoiled
by its climate, ideally located for excursions to the Andalusian coast
region and to the neighbouring Sierra Nevada (excellent skiing area), Málaga
leaves the impression that it will always flourish.
Our
school is located in an exclusive Andalusian villa area near the city,
less than 10 minutes by bus from the historical center of Málaga and
about 2 minutes on foot from the beach. The Villa has been a vastly
popular place to learn Spanish among the lovers of the Spanish language
and culture. It is said that most guests want to stay forever, out of
enthusiasm for learning Spanish and for the area. All Spanish language
courses are offered here, a maximum of 8 students make up the Spanish
language course. There is a small cafe on the terrace, and also a
shadowy garden available for Spanish lessons.

Leisure Time and Excursions in and around Málaga
You
can feel extremely comfortable in Pedregalejo. Here are the most
beautiful beaches of Málaga and an endless promenade of restaurants,
cafeterias and bars which are a main attraction for people of all ages.
When you go for a walk and look closely at the villas of Pedregalejo,
one can easily imagine what their dream-house should look like.
Activities and trips are mainly organized during the summer months by
the Spanish Language School. Besides the welcome, farewell and beach
parties, you can take part in the wine tasting events, the Tapa tours in
the old town center accompanied by guitar evenings as well as excursions
to Granada, Seville, Nerja or visits to the white villages of Ronda and
Mijas.
One should also visit the Alcazaba, a Moorish castle with richly
ornamented halls and inner courts, which resemble the Alhambra, the then
Moorish Castillo de Gibralfaro, which is a symbol of the city, La
Manquita, (the one armed), the city cathedral with an altar made of
black and white marble. In the Capilla de los Reyes one can enjoy
different statues of Spanish monarchs and paintings by Cano.
If you
are interested in culture, Málaga also has something for you. The Museo
de Bellas Artes with an exhibition of Picasso's works (who was born in
Málaga) and works by El Greco, Zurbarn, Murillo, Degrain and Morales.
One should also see the Calle Larios, the street for boutiques in
Málaga, where you find the local specialities like clothes, leather and
forged works.
Ronda, a picturesque small mountain village, is very famous for its old
stone bridges and Arabian baths.
For those who enjoy the free and easy atmosphere where something is
always happening should come to Málaga to take part in a Spanish
Language Course.
